A lot of our buddies, (and guys we WISH were buddies) have done some extraordinary things lately! This page is our tribute to them and their efforts. YA DONE GOOD, GUYS!
Adrian Takes SilverADRIAN, one of our competitive bodybuilders buddies, took second in the San Jose Bodybuilding Championships. Drop him a line and congratulate him on a job well done! Here are some pics showing how awesome he looked! There are even more pictures on his webpage.
Dwade Takes GoldDWADE, another of our bodybuilding musclebear buddies, won the GOLD MEDAL in the 1998 Gay Games in Amsterdam. These pics are video captures, but you can still see how awesome he looks! Write Dwade a note of congratulations for all his hard work and dedication.
Blaine Takes First PlaceBLAINE, our Texas powerlifting bear buddy, came in first place at the 1998 USPF Texas Cup, on November 7, 1998. He had a squat of 606 pounds, a bench of 407 pounds and a deadlift of 512 pounds! We wish we could have been there with is other half, SCOTT, to cheer him on! Way impressive, Blaine! Send him a note of congratulations on a job well done!
Steven Makes an Amazing TransformationSTEVEN started bodybuilding at the age of 40! Since then he's done incredible things with his body! Check out his "before" picture, taken May 9, 1998. At 6 foot and 44 years old, Steven weighed in at a solid 243 pounds and 13.95% bodyfat. In his "after" picture, taken August 15, 1998, he's weighing a ripped 185 at just 3.6% bodyfat! In the contest, he came in third in the Masters category and fifth in the Novice Middleweights...against athletes half his age! Right now, Steven is weighing a massive 220 pounds on his way up to a final bulking phase weight of around 260! We hope to have some pics of him as he grows! Drop him a note of encouragement and congratulations on his efforts thus far!
Anthony Qualifies for 1999 Strength ChallengeOur buddy ANTHONY competes in strongman tournaments, powerlifting, and highland games. We'll let him tell you about his latest accomplishments in his own words: "The event was from mid-November, 1998, called the NASS Continental Strength Challenge (Fort Worth, TX). Organized by Bill and Linda Holland (see Picture 1), who after many years organizing and promoting APF powerlifting meets in Texas, started the North American Strongman Society, and now promote powerlifting and strength events through this new organization.
BIG STEVE TAKES FIRST PLACE!STEVE recently competed in the USPF Texas State Powerlifting Meet held on March 20th in Austin, TX. He did well, with a 1322 total lift! Steve placed 1st in the submaster category, and placed 3rd in the below class 1 category. GREAT JOB! Here are some pics of him in action...
