Holidays 1999

We spent Thanksgiving 1999 on a Carnival Cruise to Mexico. It was an interesting experience. We were with a gay group of about 75 people or so, but the cruise was of course predominately straight. Thanks to Kevin at Rainbow Travel for organizing the group and getting us a great rate!

We had never gone on a cruise before, and weren't sure what to expect. We enjoyed the food (tons and tons of it) and some of the activities. However, by then end of four days, we were happy to be going home. We'll probably do another one, but might try one of the gay cruises or a bigger ship. We'll have to see! ;-) Anyhow, here are some pics....

Here we are right as we were leaving Los Angeles.	Charlie and our buddy ERIC. Eric is easily amused...	Charlie, ERIC, and MIKE enjoy the first night out on the deck.
First stop, Catalina Island. We had henna tattoos done. He charged us extra since our arms were so big! ;-)	Charlie waits for his to dry...	Here's John's getting worked on...the symbol in the middle is a Celtic rune meaning "strength."
John's is finished. After a few hours, the black coating fell off and left behind a faint brownish orange version. We hope we can find something that gets a little darker next time.	The next stop was Ensenada, Mexico. We went on a city tour. Here's our tour guide, Alfonzo. Kinda hunky, isn't he? ;-)	This is an iron chandelier inside of the civic building. This place used to be a casino and hotel owned by Jack Dempsey during the US Prohibition era.
Then on to a winery. No, he's not an altar boy, but the winery was originally owned by Catholic priests. We bought an excellent bottle of port there.	Everynight our cabin steward would fold up a towel into a nice pet to greet us as we got in the room late. Here's the towel puppy...	...and the towel monkey! ;-)

For Christmas, we went to a few parties and also spend the actual holiday in New Mexico with John's dad.

JOHN and WOLF (black hat) threw their annual holiday shindig. Lots of great food and hunky musclebearz! Here are a few pics of the festivities...

John last saw Tony about seven or eight years ago... ;-) It was great to see him and his family again (his mom took this picture).
